At first glance, Uncram may seem like a cheating tool, and it is to some extent. HOWEVER, Uncram may actually reduce cheating overall while also HELPING students understand content better. Let me explain. Schools today focus more on getting good test grades than on helping students truly understand what they're learning. The consequence of this is having students monotonously complete assignments and memorize information without understanding what they're learning. In turn, students are forced to cheat and produce shoddy work in order to keep up with the work overload. Because completing assignments without comprehension does nothing to help students on tests, they may be forced to cheat there as well. While some of the blame does fall to the students, there is little they can do if they have an ineffective teacher or personal barriers (tons of extracurriculars after school, 5 tests on Friday, the list goes on). Uncram uses a unique approach to address these issues. Realizing that students will probably cheat either way, Uncram autocompletes your assignments for you, with undetectable, high-quality AI generation. Afterwards, it uses the insights and context from these assignments to create study guides and notes for the student, to review at their leisure. We hope to free you from any impending deadlines, while also giving you the choice to learn and understand what you didn't have time to complete. This way, students won't have to cheat on future quizzes and tests, because they now have a genuine understanding of the content.
How Uncram came to be
As students ourselves, we, like everyone else, felt the monotony of schoolwork and the pressure of deadlines. Being in an environment where cheating was prominent caused us to feel as if there HAD to be a better solution. When asked why they cheat, people always respond with a lack of time or understanding. Nobody cheats simply because that's just what kind of person they are: dishonest and apathetic. There was always a traceable reason people cheat. Even laziness stemmed from utter disbelief in oneself to understand and accomplish a task.
We realized that it was impossible to get rid of cheating with any one tool. So we came up with a unique approach: do the student's assignment for them, BUT have them understand it themselves. This way, we free up any immediate deadlines coming up, relieving students of a great deal of stress. Then, when they have time to do so, they can review the study guides and notes we automatically create for them based off their assignments. The student gets the best of all worlds: completed work, freed up deadlines, and a full understanding of the content.
We use a secure AI operator to access a tab on your browser (after explicit permission has been granted) so we can view and edit your assignments (eg. on Canvas or Google Docs). Using a natural-typing, AI detection bypassing AI writer, we complete your assignments in high quality and bypass any automatic AI screeners. Afterwards, using the context derived from completing your assignment (or any context you provide manually), we automatically generate flashcards and notes for you. We provide a suite of tools to help you review and prepare for tests.
