Everything you need to know to start using the Uncram desktop application
Installing the Uncram App
Welcome to Uncram!
Installation on Desktop:
1. Download the Uncram desktop application for your operating system (Windows or macOS)
2. Run the installer and follow the setup instructions
3. Launch the application from your desktop or applications folder
Mobile App:
The mobile version functions similarly to the desktop app with the same core features, just optimized for mobile devices.
1. Visit the mobile app store or go to our download pages
2. Install Uncram
First Launch:
- Sign in with your Google account to sync your data across devices - The app will authenticate and set up your workspace
Setting up your Account
To create an account:
Through the website:
1. Click "Sign In with Google" on the top right corner
2. Click on the google account you want to connect to Uncram, then click continue on "Sign in to Uncram Connector for Google Workspace"
3. Next, when prompted "Select what Uncram Connector for Google Workspace can access" click "Select all"
- This will let Uncram access your email (none of your data is stored! read our privacy policy for more information)
4. Click continue, and you're all set!
Navigating the Dashboard
After signing in, you'll see the main dashboard with quick access to all features:
Main Dashboard:
- Notes: Access your rich text editor with markdown support
- Study Guides: Create and manage your learning materials
- Record Lecture: Capture and use AI to convert audio into notes
- Calendar: View your schedule and study planning (in beta)
Navigation:
- Use the sidebar to switch between Home and "Shared with Me" views
- Access your profile settings from the user menu
Key Features to Try First:
1. Create a new note and explore the rich text editor
2. Record a short audio clip and see AI transcription in action
3. Create your first study guide from text or files
4. Activate Uncram Operator to see AI automation capabilities
